Government policy has increased the time it takes for young families to save a house deposit from 3 to 20 years. Social exclusion condemns swathes of young people to a life of enslavement as payers of inflated rent. Our public services, from healthcare to education, are impoverished. AGR collects the public value needed to fully fund them.
These articles show how collecting AGR and cancelling taxes on incomes and enterprises would provide Scotland with doubled growth and sustainable annual surpluses instead of perpetual deficits whose implicit government borrowing selfishly heaps debt on future generations. AGR instead erodes debt and provides our children with proper public services, equalised life chances, affordable homes and economic stability.
