SLRG – Focussing on Equality, Shared Prosperity and a Fair Society

Introduction: equal life chances

AGR will cancel Scottish inequality and equalise life chances. The cost to society of awarding spiralling unearned, socially-generated site values to owners — whilst taxing employment and enterprise — is poverty and inequality. Site rents absorb all the surplus wealth generated by work and investment. Site values therefor constitute the surplus of society. These articles demonstrate how collecting the AGR would draw citizen outcasts back into society by collecting and sharing the wealth we all generate together.
